What should I expect on test day?

Test Day Schedule

  1. Arrive between 8:00 – 8:15 with your passport or Permanent Resident card. No candidates will be allowed in after 8:45
  2. Register and check your personal belongings.
  3. The written test takes approximately three hours. You must leave the centre after the test.
  4. Come for your speaking test 30 minutes before the time on the desk label you will receive on test day.

Identification – Important Information

Only passports and Permanent resident cards are accepted. Photocopies or other forms of ID are not accepted. .

Coats, Bags & Valuables

There is a coat room at the venue for coats and bags, which must be checked. There is a security desk where ALL VALUABLES must be checked in. These include: wallets, purses, cell phones, watches, dictionaries, laptops, cosmetics. The Test Centre asks that you leave your valuables at home and any other items that the Test Centre does not allow in test rooms.

The Test is Paper-Based

Test Centres in Canada only offer the paper-based IELTS test. Headphones are NOT used by Global Village Vancouver for the Listening section.
